NCI Witness Testimony: Martha Voth - Apr 14, 2023 - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Martha Voth’s husband Alvin developed breathing problems after contracting COVID in May of 2021. In hospital he was doing well on face mask oxygen but the doctor decided to ventilate him anyway. Alvin recovered from COVID but contracted sepsis infection. Martha tells of the common sense requests of the family regarding his care that were denied by the medical staff as they said, “it’s not our protocol”.

NCI Witness Testimony: Brian Giesbrecht - Apr 14, 2023 - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Brian Giesbrecht is a retired provincial court judge of 31 years in Manitoba who has written extensively on free speech and Indigenous issues. When the pandemic started, he teamed up with retired Lieutenant Colonel David Redman of Alberta to co-write some articles for newspapers pointing to the success that Sweden was having with their approach to the pandemic. “I was very surprised that the reaction was almost uniformly hostile,” he said. Taking a different view than the government narrative was absolutely discouraged by the media.

NCI Witness Testimony: Dr. Natalie K Bjorklund Gordon - Apr 14, 2023 - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Dr. Gordon provided personal accounts of what happened to her and her family during the pandemic. Dr. Gordon made the decision not to get the vaccine. When the vaccine passport was introduced, five of the six members of her family did not want to get the vax due to safety concerns. They were however coerced to take it and ended up having adverse reactions to the vaccine.

In May of 2021, indoor church services were no longer permitted and outdoor gatherings were limited to five people. Rick and other like-minded people felt their constitutional rights were being violated.

Michael Welch has been a radio journalist for 15 years and had been hosting a syndicated radio program that challenged the accepted narrative on many subjects without slanting the opinions right or left politically. The objective was to reach deeper concerning the subject and consider avenues of thought that the mainstream media were not touching on. The show became so popular that other radio stations were picking it up to broadcast to their audiences.

NCI Witness Testimony: Tobias Tissen - Apr 13, 2023 - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Mr. Tissen was preaching and assisting at the Church of God in the Steinbach area, while attending to his father who was on home care, and who passed away in April 2020, during lockdowns. He talks of how the limits of people allowed in his congregation were cut initially to 50%, then to 25%, to 10%, then 10 individuals and even down to 5, and the effect of these limits.

NCI Witness Testimony: Pierre Attallah - Apr 13, 2023 - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Pierre is a father of two boys and actively volunteered at their school. Pierre spoke out against the mask mandates in school and pointed out that the public health orders did not apply to public schools. The younger son experienced damage to his vocal cords due to having to yell louder through a mask, this was confirmed by a speech pathologist and an ENT specialist. Despite this, he was advised that the child should speak quieter and no mask exemption was given.
